This was something I've been working on, in fits and starts, for [livejournal.com profile] shlnbard. It's a carseat blanket for upcoming little one. It's also my first blanket, so it's not as neat as it could be.

You'll have to forgive the quality of the final blanket, Jenni. It's a bit uneven on one side due to some uncertainty with the instructions, and I wish the corners were a little tighter. It should be okay for a little bit. *blushes*

Neat! I don't even know what's going on with some of those stitches. I'm still pretty much a knitting newb too since all I've done are scarves so far.

This was my first major non-scarf project. I had to learn a number of stitches to do the center panel, which was the trickiest and longest part (the center panel is 23in. long, and about that wide).

I hope to move on to hats and a few toys, but probably keeping things rather small (i.e. don't take forever).

tl;dr. Thank you!

It looks great! I've certainly never finished a blanket before!

Thank you. As I said, when you get it forgive the quality. I'm not even sure it'll stand up to a good wash. But I think your little one will like once she gets here.

Thanks. I hope it looks even more adorable in use, i.e. wrapped up around a little bit in her carseat.

This also frees me up to start the Natsu scarf experiments. Woot!
